"ROCKING THE BAND"

Magic Bands are a digital wrist band that you wear to connect your entire itinerary to you at all times. This band serves as many things. Your room key, your meal ticket if on the dining plan, your credit card if you have opted to have a charge account, your park tickets (including Fastpasses), and your Memory Maker!

What makes these bands even more spectacular is the fact that you can customize them for a more personal experience. Up until about 30 days before arrival you can go online to Mydisneyexperience.com and select the color of your band as well as the name you would like printed on the back. For example, for our September 2014 trip all four macs have chosen a color and a special nickname for the back of their band! MamaMac, DaddyMac, etc

Utilizing "My Disney Experience"

Our personal opinion on Disney's "My Disney Experience" tool is simply this..IT ROCKS!! Although we know it has a few kinks left to work out we absolutely love it! You can utilize this tool via the Disney World website (or directly at Mydisneyexperience.com) and you can also download the app for your mobil device. We have used both and they seem equally efficient. This tool is Disney's way of allowing you to create an entire itinerary and keep all details in one safe place accessible from just about anywhere. Through this tool you can make plans, create or cancel dining reservations, add, cancel, or change fastpass+ reservations, make payments, and so much more! You can view magic bands and tickets associated with your account as well as reservation details and complete online check in!

This tool is an amazing addition to Disney's already accomodating services so we definitely think you're going to love it!

The Scoop On FastPass+

It is said that Disney received many complaints from dissapointed guests when the stipulations for FastPass+ were put into place allowing only 3 fastpasses per day, at only one park, and the attractions are tiered to keep you from booking fastpasses at more than one of the top attractions.

Disney promised however that this was just the beginning and changes would come. That promise is taking shape slowly but surely as Disney has recently updated their FastPass+ policy to state that while you can still only book 3 passes in advance and only at 1 park, you will now be able to visit a park kiosk or your My Disney Experience app to book additional fastpasses one at a time after your original 3 have been used. This is very exciting news as it allows for more flexibility especially in regards to park hoppers.

So how can you book yours in advance? Visit Mydisneyexperience.com or use the My Disney Experience App on your mobil device. Guests staying at a Disney owned and operated resort can book up to 60 days in advance of arrival while guests staying off-site can book up to 30 days in advance of arrival.

What Is Disney's MemoryMaker?

The Memory Maker is Disney's new photopass option that allows you to walk up to any photopass photographer, scan the band, and have your photos taken all together! When you get home you will have not one but all of the photopass photos taken throughout your trip from shots throughout the park, to disney dining shots and even your attraction photos! Plus, you can save $50 by simply adding the Memory Maker to your Disney Travel Package before you leave! When you consider what you spend on purchasing the photos afterward and developing your own, it's a great deal in our opinion. For more detailed information visit: Disneyworld.com
