What About Disney Dining?
TO DINING PLAN OR NOT TO DINING PLAN:
Dining is another Disney Discount offer that's going to be based predominantly on your style and preference. First you need to determine what type of eaters you are. If you are the type that really don't like to stop and eat and will most likely snack or grab a sandwich along the way I would suggest simply paying out of pocket for meals.
Contrarywise, if you are the type that would rather just save money no matter what, it might be an option for you to contact someone like Garden Grocer or Amazon Prime Now and have groceries delivered to your resort room so that you can make as many meals as possible.
(link to Garden Grocer and Amazon Prime Now can be found under the Links tab)
However, if you are like our family and you really enjoy getting your fill of amazing Disney restaurants and buffets while you're there or if you simply like to have everything paid for with little out of pocket expense to surprise you, the dining plan is for you! We swear by it! We compared receipts for 2 years on what we would have spent at restaurants versus the cost of the dining plan and it saves us a bundle for what we get. Especially when the FREE dining promotion comes into play!
WHICH DINING PLAN DO I CHOOSE?
There are three dining plans to choose from. We will lay them out for you but first there are two terms we need to define.
1. Quick Service Meal (Qk): Any meal that is served cafeteria style (without a waitor or waitress)
2. Table Service Meal (Tbl): Any meal that is served as a sit down restaurant with server present or a buffet.

Bare in mind that each of these meals consists of an entree, dessert and non-alcoholic or single serve alcoholic beverage (for guests over 21 with valid ID) or buffet option.
Where applicable an appetizer may be in place as well. This is A LOT of food. Ocassionally, we find ourselves sharing. This is not allowed at all Table Service locations so be sure to ask your server.
Our friends over at "See Ya Reel Soon" have an amazing tool called the Dining Plan Calculator that can tell you whether or not the dining plan is worth it for your family from a financial standpoint. Check it out under the Links tab!
